We have recently decided to niche down our business, we still do all the things we say we do, but we absolutely specialise in online services for start up and small businesses. In the particular areas of getting a website live and growing, social media, link building, blogging, graphics and print.

In past experiences, starting a business, whilst not being easy, was not too bad, the difficulties lay in three particular areas:

  • Not having a brand to build any of the bits you need to actually get started
  • Needing a website and not having the content to build it
  • Actually providing the money to get any of the above done in a reasonable fashion.

The key problem being that the money required to build a site and get your graphics done is a large part of what you havent earnt yet. What we like to do is charge monthly sums, instead of an upfront cost, so that we can build the cost of the site over a period and ensure a working relationship with yourself, rather than just build it and leave. We also know that you evolve a lot over the first few months changing as you go. Instead of asking you for things like what domain would you like to use, where are you intending to host, what content do you need, and so on, how much more refreshing would it be to offer you suggestions based on your plans, using our key skills and advice, and take the headache of chasing out of the equation.

Often companies, elect for a cheap logo/brand and the cheapest site they can afford, because of those large upfront costs. As mentioned earlier, we take those away and build with you, providing a content managed system (that is just fancy talk for a system that can be updated easily by yourself or us, in this case WordPress) rather than a static simple site, offering no value at all.

The brand is exactly the same, whilst the business is yours, you shouldnt do all the things you want and like, it should be about your customers and again, we can help you with that.
